Introduction to FJMU Departments

Fatima Jinnah Medical University (FJMU), Lahore, offers a wide range of academic programs across various departments, each dedicated to advancing medical education and healthcare.

Medical Education: Focuses on enhancing teaching methods and supporting both faculty and students.
Clinical Departments: Cover specialties like Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, and more, providing hands-on clinical training.

How to apply

The said positions will be made under Contract Appointment Policy 2004 (amended in 2022)/ service rules of FJMU/FMU Act-2015 on contract basis for a period of three (03) years, extendable subject to satisfactory work.
Age, Qualification and Experience as per eligibility criteria. Age relaxation will be granted as per existing policy of the Govt. of the Punjab.
Applications will be entertained if received after due date or submitted other than through online.
No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for Test/ Interview.
Incomplete applications shall not be entertained at any stage.
Number of Posts may be increased/decreased according to requirement. The Institute reserves the right to withdraw any or all the advertised posts/job vacancies at any stage without any reason.
Candidates, if already doing job in Govt./ Semi Govt./ Autonomous Bodies, should submit their applications through proper channel.
The vacancies shall be filled purely on merit under Academic Qualifications, Experience and Interview/Test Score.
The applicant having Foreign Degree must have HEC Equivalence Certificate.
The candidates of BPS-18 & above should apply through online portal and send along with a Bank Challan of Rs. 2,000/- for BPS-20 & 19 and Rs. 1,500/- for BPS-18 & 17 in favor of the Vice Chancellor, FJMU, Lahore. The challan form is available at website: www.fjmu.edu.pk.
Incomplete application form shall be rejected. Any form without relevant documents/ Online Bank Challan will not be accepted.

Age Limit: 30-50 years
Number of Posts: 01
Qualification & Experience: A PhD, FCPS, MS, MDS, or MD in any discipline after MBBS or BDS, with 10 years of experience in a medical institution, teaching hospital, or recognized university. Alternatively, an M.Phil, MPhil, or MBA after MBBS or BDS, with 12 years of experience. A third option is an MBBS or BDS, with 15 years of relevant experience in a medical college or teaching hospital.

2. Director (Education) (BPS-20)

Age Limit: 30-50 years
Number of Posts: 01
Qualification & Experience: A PhD, M.Phil, MBBS, or BDS with 10 years of experience as a Registrar (BPS-20) or Additional Registrar (BPS-19). Other options include a second division Master’s degree in Management Sciences, Human Resource Management, Economics, Finance, or Communication and Management with a relevant PhD; or a second division Master’s degree in Information Technology related projects.

3. Director (IT) (BPS-20)

Age Limit: 30-45 years
Number of Posts: 01
Qualification & Experience: An M.Sc., BPE, MME, or a Diploma in Medical Education after MBBS or BDS, with 10 years of experience in a medical institution or teaching hospital. Another option is an M.Phil, MPhil, or MBA after MBBS or BDS with 12 years of experience. A third option is a second division Master’s degree in Information Technology related projects, with 10 years of experience.

4. Additional Director (Medical) (BPS-19)

Age Limit: 20-45 years
Number of Posts: 01
Qualification & Experience: A PhD, FCPS, MS, MDS, or MD in any discipline after MBBS or BDS, with 7 years of experience in a medical institution or teaching hospital.

Age Limit: 20-45 years

Qualification & Experience: An M.Sc., BPE, MME, or a Diploma in Medical Education after MBBS or BDS, with 10 years of experience. Alternatively, a second division Master’s degree in Information Technology related projects, with 7 years of experience.

Qualification & Experience: An M.Sc., BPE, MME, or a Diploma in Medical Education, with 5 years of relevant experience or research. Alternatively, a B.Sc. with a Diploma in Medical Education, with 10 years of relevant experience.

7. Deputy Registrar (BPS-18)

Age Limit: 25-45 years

Qualification & Experience: An MBBS or BDS with 5 years of relevant experience in a medical institute or teaching hospital. Alternatively, 18 years of second division education from a recognized university, with 5 years of relevant experience.
